|4. The Son:
God the eternal Son became incarnate in Jesus Christ. Through Him all things
were created, the character of God is revealed, the salvation of humanity
is accomplished, and the world is judged. Forever truly God, He became
also truly man, Jesus the Christ. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and
born of the virgin Mary. He lived and experienced temptation as a human
being, but perfectly exemplified the righteousness and love of God. By
His miracles He manifested God's power and was attested as God's promised
Messiah. He suffered and died voluntarily on the cross for our sins and
in our place, was raised from the dead, and ascended to minister in the
heavenly sanctuary in our behalf. He will come again in glory for the final
deliverance of His people and the restoration of all things.
(John 1:1-3, 14 Col. 1:15-19 John 10:30 14:9 Rom. 6:23 2 Cor. 5:17-19 John 5:22 Luke 1:35 Phil. 2:5-11 Heb. 2:9-18 1 Cor. 15:3, 4 Heb. 8:1, 2 John 14:1-3.)
|[JOH 1:1-3]  In the beginning was the Word, and
the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning
with God. All things were made by him and without him was not any thing
made that was made
[JOH 1:14]  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth
[COL 1:15-19] Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell
[JOH 10:30]  I and my Father are one
[JOH 14:9]  Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
[ROM 6:23]  For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
[2 CO 5:17-19]  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
[JOH 5:22]  For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
[LUK 1:35]  And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
[PHI 2:5-11]  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
[HEB 2:9-18]  But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily he took not on him the nature of angels but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behooved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
[1 CO 15:3-4]  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
[HEB 8:1-2]  Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
[JOH 14:1-3]  Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself that where I am, there ye may be also.
